what does unlocking a cell phone do besides make it able to use on another carieer?
Does it do anything bad to the cell phone? I am looking for a Red Curve but i have T mobile so i was looking into an unlocked phone. but i want to make sure it wont ruin the phone or anything.
can i still go on the internet?
I believe it wont do any thing wrong to the phone but it may get some virus, if you are using a bad software to unlock the phone. Request T-Mobile people to unlock you phone. Say them you are going to another country and may not return for some time and you would like to use the phone with a new carrier in that country.
My friend did it and he is using that phone in India with out any problem.
