There’s no question that the CECT line of iPhone clones have become accepted in their own right rather than on their ability to copy Apple technology. That’s because they made some very popular additions that consumers have embraced, such as: a slide unlock feature that allows you to use any carrier or plan that you wish; an FM radio; and a removable battery so that you aren’t dependent on the manufacturer when the battery dies, to name only a few.

The CECT S688 is among the newest of these clones. Here is a review of the performance on this brisk selling model:

Popular Features: The S688 has everything you would expect from this manufacturer. Here is a very quick list of the most popular specifications: Bluetooth; a 3.2 inch finger touch screen; networking support (WAP 2.0, GPRS (class 10); MP3/MP4 players; a 2.0 mega pixel camera with advanced editing features; a video recorder; fully functional smart phone capabilities; web browsing and email, up to 2GB of expandable memory; and an FM radio.

This PDA automatically reads your sim card. It is tri band which means that it works on most GSM networks. One very popular addition to this phone is a 3.5 mm headphone output. This one does not have the shake and tilt function like the HiPhone or the A380i.

Appearance: This phone looks very similar to the iPhone. In terms of the clones, it looks most like the HiPhone i32. But it is a bit thinner in width and looks slightly sleeker in appearance.

Functioning And Quality: I have found this model to be very high performing. I have not had any problems with it. In my testing, I did find that the S688 is a touch faster than other popular knock offs. This is a very slight difference, but it is there. The reception and sound quality are excellent and the touch screen is very responsive and quick.

Pricing: This model starts at about $120, but can vary greatly depending on where you get it. Still, this seems a decent price considering that there are essentially several different products housed inside.
